Acacia
acinacea the Gold Dust Wattle is a small to medium shrub and
occurs in South Australia, Victoria and NSW. Small phyllodes and masses of
bright golden flowers in spring are characteristics of this attractive shrub.
We have a number of specimens growing in the gardens at Yallaroo and they have
proved to be hardy and free flowering. A useful plant for shrubberies and as a
foreground specimen in hedgerows. As with most wattles prune after flowering.
The Gold Dust Wattle propagates readily from seeds and cuttings.
